Ukraine Fintech Week 2026 was a special one for us.

Over the course of the Ukraine Fintech week, Identomat had the chance to be part of several important conversations shaping the future of fintech in Ukraine - from regulation and fraud prevention to lending, digital trust, and the role of AI and biometrics in fighting modern fraud.

It was a busy, meaningful, and rewarding week for our team. We supported discussions, shared our expertise, spoke with students, connected with industry professionals, and took the stage on multiple occasions. So after such packed week we came back and are ready to bring you behind the stage and give you all the details from the Ukraine Fintech week orginized by Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovation Companies.

Starting the week with the Regulatory Roundtable

Starting strong - the Regulatory Roundtable was one of the first events during Ukraine Fintech Week. And if you know us you know that we can’t stay away from Regulatory topics that’s why we where delighted for Identomat to Power Regulatory Roundtable. For us, this was an important way to start the week. Regulation is a huge part of how fintech grows - especially in fast-moving markets where innovation, compliance, and risk management all have to move together.

At Identomat, we always believe that trust in digital services is built not only through technology, but also through strong frameworks, clear standards, and open conversations between market participants. That is why supporting the Regulatory Roundtable felt so relevant to who we are and what we do.

Automated fraud prevention at Pay.Forum

On March 18, our COO, Zurab Kotaria, delivered a keynote at Pay.Forum titled “The Playbook of Automated Fraud Prevention.”

This topic is becoming more relevant every day. Fraud is changing fast. The methods are becoming more advanced, the attacks are becoming more scalable, and businesses are under more pressure than ever to stay secure without making the user journey harder than it needs to be.

Zurab’s keynote focused on exactly that challenge: how businesses can build fraud prevention processes that are automated, intelligent, and ready for the realities of today’s digital environment.

Because the truth is, fraud prevention can no longer be treated as something reactive. Businesses need systems that can adapt, detect risk earlier, and support fast but secure onboarding. That balance between security and user experience is something we care deeply about at Identomat, so it was great to see this topic take center stage.

Trust in lending was next

On March 19, Liudmyla Paralova, our Country Manager, Ukraine, took the stage at Digital Lending with her keynote “The Next Chapter of Trust in Lending.”

Lending is one of the areas where trust matters most. Users expect speed and convenience, but lenders also need to manage risk, prevent fraud, and stay compliant. That is not an easy balance to strike.

Liudmyla’s session looked at how trust in lending is evolving, and why it is no longer enough to think only in terms of access and efficiency. Today, trust has to be built into the whole experience - from the first onboarding step all the way through to ongoing customer relationships.

It was an important conversation, and we were proud to be part of it. Ukraine’s digital lending space is evolving quickly, and it is exciting to contribute to discussions around how it can continue growing in a safe, modern, and user-friendly way.

Talking to students about the “golden age of fraud”

On March 20, Zurab also gave a lecture to students on “Golden Age of Fraud & How to Fight It with AI & Biometrics.”

This was one of the most interesting parts of the week for us.

Industry events are always valuable, but there is something especially meaningful about speaking with students and sharing ideas with the next generation of professionals who will eventually shape this space themselves.

The topic was very timely. We are living in a period where fraud is becoming more sophisticated, more creative, and more difficult to detect using traditional approaches alone. At the same time, AI and biometric technologies are creating new ways to strengthen digital trust and improve how businesses protect themselves and their users.

It was great to have the chance to discuss these ideas in an educational setting and bring real industry challenges into the conversation.

A proud moment at the Ukrainian Fintech Awards

During Ukraine Fintech Week, Identomat was also honored with the Best Remote Identification Provider award at the Ukrainian Fintech Awards.

We are super excited to receive this recognition.

Awards are always a proud moment, but this one felt especially meaningful because it reflects something that matters so much in today’s financial world. Remote identification is no longer just a helpful extra. It has become a core part of how modern financial services operate, onboard users, and build trust in digital channels.

This recognition means a lot to us because it reflects the work our team puts in every day to build solutions that help businesses verify users remotely, stay compliant, and defend against fraud without creating unnecessary friction.

We are thankful to the organizers, to the Ukrainian fintech community, and to everyone who continues to trust Identomat and support our journey.

Looking back on the week

Ukraine Fintech Week 2026 was not just about being present. It was about being involved.

From powering the Regulatory Roundtable, to sharing insights from the stage, to speaking with students, to being recognized at the awards - this week gave us many opportunities to contribute to conversations that really matter.

It also reminded us why events like this are so valuable. They bring together different parts of the ecosystem, create room for important discussions, and help move the industry forward.

We are grateful to everyone we met throughout the week and proud that Identomat could play an active role in such an important event for the Ukrainian fintech space.

We are leaving Ukraine Fintech Week 2026 inspired, thankful, and excited for what is ahead.
