2025 was the year Identomat truly went global.
Across fintech, banking, iGaming, AI, and digital identity, our team spent the year on the road - listening to regulators, operators, banks, startups, and investors talk about their biggest headaches in KYC, AML, fraud, and onboarding. In return, we shared how AI-powered identity verification and smarter compliance infrastructure can turn “mandatory checks” into a genuine growth lever.
Over the course of the year, we took part in more than 28 events across different industries - from iGaming and gambling to fintech, crypto, and Web3. We spoke on stages across Europe and beyond, partnered with several flagship conferences, and even stepped onto the exhibition floor ourselves.
Here is a look back at our 2025 event journey - and what we learned along the way.
A Busy Year: From Fintech Hubs to iGaming Arenas
In 2025, Identomat participated in a diverse mix of conferences, expos, and forums, including:
ICE Barcelona, SiGMA Eurasia, FintechMeetup, Ukraine Fintech Week, Pay360, UK FinTech Week, London Tech Week, the UK-Ukraine Tech Forum, Money20/20 Europe, Identity Week Europe, iGB L!VE, the Ukrainian Fintech Catalog Presentation, SBC Summit Lisbon, DEF-AI, Britain Connected, INNOVATRIX’s SUMMIT, Fintech Moldova, the Access 2 Finance Conference, the BOLT Conference, GITEX Global, SBC Summit Tbilisi, the London Blockchain Conference, Money20/20 USA, Fintech Fringe Festival, SiGMA Central Europe, the Digital Banking Conference, FinTech Connect, Wales Tech Week, the AML & FinCrime Tech Forum, and UAFIN.TECH.
After that marathon of events, it’s time for what really matters: the picture dump. (Disclaimer: excessive selfie content incoming.)

Each of these events brought a slightly different angle: some focused on fintech and payments, others on iGaming and betting, and others on AI, blockchain, and fraud prevention. The common thread was always the same: how do you build digital experiences that are fast, safe, compliant, and trusted by both users and regulators?
And we do have an answer for that. You build them by combining strong KYC and AML controls with great product design: using AI-powered identity verification and liveness checks in the background rather than endless forms in the foreground; adapting flows to local regulations instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all journey; and treating compliance as a core part of the user experience, not an afterthought. That balance between security, regulation, and usability is exactly what we kept discussing, testing, and refining at every event we attended in 2025.
These events were the starting point for many exciting partnerships, conversations, and projects - and for helping businesses get more from “just a regulatory requirement.” We helped institutions onboard users faster, smarter, and more smoothly, at a fraction of the cost. We can say with pride that we’re making user onboarding better without asking businesses to overpay or break the bank.
Taking the Stage: Where We Spoke and What We Shared
In 2025 we were not just attending events - we were on stage, sharing lessons from building and deploying KYC/AML solutions across banks, fintechs, and high-risk industries.
Fintech Moldova
At Fintech Moldova, we joined the panel “Crossing Borders: Building Resilient Fintech Ecosystems in Eastern Europe.”
The conversation looked beyond individual companies and focused on the region as a whole: how regulators, banks, fintechs, and infrastructure providers can work together to build resilient, inclusive digital finance. Our angle was simple: shared digital identity standards, interoperable KYC layers, and collaboration between neighboring markets can unlock growth that’s hard to achieve in isolation.

Forbes Banking Summit Georgia
In Georgia, we went a step further and co-organized the Forbes Banking Summit, bringing together banks, regulators, and fintech players to discuss how the local market is evolving.
As part of the program, we participated in the panel discussion “Banking in Transition: Innovation & the Role of Fintech.”
Here, we explored how banks and fintechs can move from competition to collaboration: using shared digital identity infrastructure, API-driven onboarding, and AI-powered KYC as a bridge between traditional banking and new financial services. The discussion touched on practical ways banks can:
- Work with fintechs to speed up product launches
- Reduce fraud and operational risk without slowing down customers
- Turn compliance and digital trust into a foundation for new services rather than a bottleneck

DEF-AI
But we didn’t stop at the Forbes Banking Summit in Georgia. We also delivered the keynote “How to Comply with Central Banks’ VASP Regulations” at DEF-AI, where we focused on the regulatory landscape for Virtual Asset Service Providers.
We explored how crypto exchanges, wallets, and Web3 platforms can implement KYC/AML controls, support travel rule requirements, and run ongoing monitoring without turning every signup into a painful process. The session also tackled growing risks like anonymity, synthetic identities, and deepfakes - and how biometric verification and liveness checks can help keep platforms safe.
And if you know us, you know we like to have a little fun on the side - so of course we also co-hosted the afterparty.

Digital Banking Conference 2025
At the Digital Banking Conference 2025, our COO, Zura, and our Country Manager, Ukraine, Liudmyla Paralova, took to the stage with the keynote “How Ukrainian Banks Can Lead with AI: From Frictionless Onboarding to Fraud Prevention.”
They walked through how banks can move away from manual, paper-heavy workflows and put AI to work to:
- Verify identities in real-time
- Detect deepfakes, spoofing, and forged documents
- Automate compliance checks without burning out teams
- Cut onboarding times while actually reducing risk
We showed the practical examples from real projects. We showed that AI in compliance doesn’t have to be theoretical or overcomplicated - it can be measurable, testable, and tied to specific KPIs like approval rates, fraud losses, and review times.

Ukrainian Fintech Catalog 2025 Presentation
During the Ukrainian Fintech Catalog 2025 Presentation, Zura spoke on the panel “The European Market Through the Ukrainian Lens: What Works and What Doesn’t?”
The discussion covered what it actually takes for Ukrainian fintechs to expand into the EU and UK: stricter regulations, higher expectations around digital identity and data security, and the need for flexible, modular compliance setups. We brought in our experience from cross-border projects, where localising onboarding flows and adapting KYC to each market often decides whether expansion succeeds or stalls.

Ukraine Fintech Week
At Ukraine Fintech Week, our COO, Zurab Kotaria, delivered a keynote on “The 3 C’s in Digital Lending” - a framework around Confidence, Compliance and Convenience. The talk focused on how digital lenders can grow sustainably when robust KYC, AML, and risk controls are built into a smooth, low-friction customer journey instead of being bolted on at the end.
Later, Zura joined the panel “Payment Security: KYC and AML”, discussing how payment providers can use AI-powered identity verification, liveness checks, sanctions screening, and monitoring tools to keep fraud under control and stay aligned with evolving regulations, especially in fast-moving markets.

Strategic Partnerships and Co-Hosted Events
In 2025, Identomat also supported several events as an official partner or co-organizer. These forums closely matched our mission of building digital trust infrastructure. As we mentioned, we co-hosted the afterparty of DEF-AI and the Forbes Banking Summit. But what we didn’t mention is that we were also:
Official partners of the UK-Ukraine Tech Forum, which took place during London Tech Week. We contributed to conversations about how Ukrainian technology companies can plug into UK and EU digital ecosystems, with secure onboarding and regulatory alignment as key enablers.

Official technological partners of Ukraine Fintech Week, where we helped highlight how AI-powered KYC, AML, and identity verification can support a more secure and innovative fintech ecosystem.

Official Strategic International Partners of the Digital Banking Conference - a partnership status that reflects our long-term commitment to supporting banks as they navigate digital transformation, AI adoption, and constantly tightening AML expectations.

From attending, to taking the stage, to upgrading to our own booth on the exhibition floor - and being shortlisted as Best KYC Provider at the SiGMA Awards. P.S. SiGMA Central Europe was one long, very fun KYC session.
2025 was also the year when Identomat proudly took the exhibition floor - by showcasing our platform at SiGMA Central Europe.
For three days, our booth became a meeting point for online casino operators, affiliates, platform providers, and payment companies who are all dealing with the same tension: regulators want tighter controls, players want instant access, and internal teams are stuck trying to reconcile both with limited resources.
The conversations circled around a few recurring pain points:
- onboarding flows that leak high-intent players at the verification step
- bonus abuse, multi-accounting, and chargeback fraud
- underage gambling and growing pressure around responsible gaming and player protection
- fragmented KYC setups across brands, markets, and platforms
On the stand, we showed how Identomat can centralise and clean up this picture with AI-powered identity verification, active and passive liveness checks, age verification, sanctions and watchlist screening, address verification, and other in-house solutions. Identomat is truly an all-in-one shop for onboarding and compliance needs - and we were super happy to demonstrate it live, on the ground.
What stood out is how quickly the conversation in iGaming is shifting. KYC and AML are no longer seen only as “things you have to do to keep the license.” More and more operators are looking at them as part of the player experience and brand promise: fast, fair, safe, and compliant. Exhibiting at SiGMA Central Europe gave us a front-row seat to that shift – and a chance to show how modern onboarding can help operators grow without cutting corners on trust.

Looking Ahead to 2026
2025 has been a super exciting (and very packed) year for us, and we’re pretty sure 2026 will be even busier - and we have so much more to showcase.
As we’re planning our calendar for this year, we want to thank everyone who stopped by to chat with us in 2025 - at booths, on panels, after keynotes, in hallways, on exhibition floors or in coffee queues. If you didn’t get a chance to meet us in 2025, we’re sure 2026 is the year we can fix that - and we’d like to invite you to come say hi.
If you don’t want to miss where we’re heading next, make sure to follow Identomat on social media. We share updates on upcoming events, talks, and exhibitions on LinkedIn, so you always know which city we’re landing in next.
Stay tuned - and see you somewhere in 2026!
